P. R. Senthilnathan, 58, is a three-decade veteran of the AIADMK who has risen from village-level organizer to Member of Parliament and now serves as the MLA for Sivaganga constituency. Born in 1968 in Nagadi village of Sivaganga district, he completed his B.Sc. from Sevugan Annamalai College in Devakottai and obtained his law degree from Bengaluru University. Starting his career as a practicing advocate, he joined AIADMK in 1988 at age 20 and steadily climbed party ranks, serving as Nagadi branch secretary (1992), district secretary of Amma Peravai (2007-2013), Sivaganga district secretary of AIADMK (2013), and Chairman of Tamil Nadu Backward Classes and Economic Development Corporation (2013). In 2014, he achieved a stunning victory in the Sivaganga Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 229,385 votes, crushing opponents from both BJP and Congress.
