Sellur K Raju

Sellur K. Raju, 73, is a veteran AIADMK politician who has represented Madurai West constituency since 2011. A B.Sc. graduate from Kamaraj University, Raju has won three consecutive assembly elections (2011, 2016, 2021), though his victory margins have steadily declined from 59.64% in 2011 to 41.96% in 2021. He served as Minister for Co-operation, Statistics, and Ex-Services Welfare for a full decade (May 2011 to May 2021), overseeing initiatives for cooperative societies and ex-servicemen welfare.
