Madhavaram V.Moorthy

V. Moorthy, 67, is a graduate and veteran AIADMK politician from Madhavaram constituency in Tamil Nadu who has experienced both political highs and lows. He burst onto the electoral scene in 2011 when he won the newly formed Madhavaram seat with an impressive 55.69% vote share, defeating DMK's N.S. Kanimozhi by over 34,000 votes. His strong performance earned him a ministerial position as Minister for Milk and Dairy Development in the Tamil Nadu Government from November 2011, where he was involved in agricultural and dairy sector policies.
