Venkatesan (Kottai Venkatesan, M) is an Independent politician from Arani, Tamil Nadu, who made his electoral debut in the 2024 Lok Sabha general election. At 35 years old and holding a graduate degree, he contested from the Arani constituency during Phase I of the elections held on April 19, 2024. Working professionally as a driver, he declared assets of ₹8.3 lakh (₹5.8 lakh movable and ₹2.6 lakh immovable) with zero declared income, which raised questions about financial sustainability.
